Most traditional methods for making money with blogs simply do not work for most bloggers for several reasons.
I will cover them quickly in this article and tell you about an alternative way to earn money blogging.
First here are some of the main reasons why your blogging for money efforts are probably not as successful as you plotted.
1. Making a money making blog, using traditional monetization methods, is very time consuming. You have to manually make content and post it, optimize the blog, make your back-link strategy, bookmark your articles, ping the RSS feed, etc. These are the most common ways of increasing SERP (Search Engine Results Position), PR (Page Rank) and getting traffic to the blog.
2. Traffic. Most blogs do not generate enough traffic to have a decent ROI (Return on Investment). If you’re blog is not getting at least 200 unique visitors per day, it will be very hard to make any real income.
3. Last, most traditional blog for money monetization methods are dependent on #1 and #2 to yield income. These include AdSense, Affiliate Marketing, CPA, PPV etc.
So, while blogging for money, is a legitimate business opportunity for some, the vast majority of bloggers fail and their blogs die a slow death on the vine.
The notion of making a blog or blogs and slapping contextual ads on them (like Google AdSense and Kontera) and collecting checks is fake.
Likewise, even with Affiliate marketing products from ClickBank, Amazon or even eBay, it takes a lot more time and effort, not to mention mastery of certain skills such as SEO, Social Media, Traffic Generation and yes, List Building to really see profits.
